SeaTherapist

Vision Voyage™ is hiring qualified persons for a unique outbound, experiential recovery program that takes place totally onboard an ocean going sailing ship. SeaTherapy™ is a truly holistic program that integrates the art of sailing, meditation and behavioral therapies to help people already in recovery to do the deeper work required to achieve a more satisfying and meaningful life.

Essential Job Duties:

Managing a caseload and providing assessments, treatment planning, group, individual, and family therapy. The therapist will also function as a part of the sailing crew working to provide a team building experience while mentoring our guests in essential life skills and deep self-awareness.

Requirements:

Applicant must have a graduate degree in behavioral health (Masters, Doctorate) and/or a state certification in addictions (highest level). Sailing experience preferred.

Applicant must also have a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience with adult substance/abuse/ dual diagnosis population.


Ship Medic

Vision Voyage™ is hiring a medic or emergency medical crew for a unique outbound, experiential recovery program that takes place totally onboard an ocean going sailing ship. SeaTherapy™ is a truly holistic treatment program that integrates the art of sailing, meditation and behavioral therapies to help people already in recovery to do the deeper work required to achieve a more satisfying and meaningful life.

Essential Job Duties:

Providing first aid and emergency medical care to quests, staff and crew onboard ship. The medic will also function as a part of the sailing crew working to provide a team building experience while mentoring our guests in essential life skills and deep self-awareness. Knowledge of addiction recovery, physical fitness, wellness and healthy lifestyles is required. Able to provide individual and group instruction on wellness and health related topics.

Requirements:

Applicant must have a college degree in a health related field or equivalent training (LPN, RN, EMT, Other), specific training in medical care and certifications in emergency medical care (BLS, ACLS, Other). Sailing experience preferred.

Applicant must also have experience working with adult substance/abuse/ dual diagnosis population.
